Formed by violinist Joel Bardolet, cellist Pau Codina and pianist Marc Heredia, Trio Fortuny celebrates its tenth anniversary during the 2026–2027 season. Since its foundation, the ensemble has developed a distinctive artistic vision that combines the interpretation of the core piano trio repertoire with a strong commitment to contemporary creation. Highlights of this season include a tour with singer-songwriter Judit Neddermann.

The ensemble has performed at some of Europe’s leading concert halls and festivals, including the Wissembourg International Music Festival, Festival Perelada, Festival de Torroella de Montgrí, Festival Bachcelona, L’Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de la Música Catalana, Palau de la Música de València, Temporada Ibercamera Girona and Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM). From 2023 to 2026, Trio Fortuny was Ensemble in Residence at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Its discography includes Echoes, featuring works by Josef Suk, Joan Magrané and Tchaikovsky.

Trio Fortuny is deeply committed to contemporary music, championing the premiere of new works and actively contributing to the expansion of the piano trio repertoire. This artistic vision has led to projects with composers including Ferran Cruixent, Joan Magrané, Francesc Prat and Josep Ollé, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations with the dance company Mal Pelo and singer Inés Cuello.

The ensemble’s artistic identity has been shaped by the guidance of distinguished musicians including Ferenc Rados, Rainer Schmidt, Claudio Martínez, Gary Hoffman, Anton Kernjak, Dmitri Bashkirov and Jonathan Brown.
