Laura Pou Cabello
Flautist Laura Pou was the first guest artist we worked with. An inspiring musician, she has gathered knowledge and experience while surrounded by artists such as Teodor Currentzis, Alexander Melnikov and Cecilia Bartoli, among many others, and has made a deeply human and vibrant musical language her own. Together, we have worked on the arrangements of Beethoven’s symphonies, and she has also become part of our trusted inner circle as both a friend and an advisor. Among ourselves, half-jokingly, we often speak of the “Laura Pou effect”: the fresh breeze she brought into our work, inspiring us to play with greater freedom and to take more risks.
Joan Magrané Figuera
We have performed almost the entire catalogue of our friend Joan Magrané and have had the privilege of receiving works dedicated to us for piano trio, solo cello, a violin concerto and several concertante works. He has also been an essential influence and an invaluable outside eye. Our fascination with new music, with approaching early music as though it were contemporary—and vice versa—with understanding the composer's mind and placing ourselves at the service of a score… these are all curiosities awakened by one of the leading composers of our country and beyond: an extraordinarily cultured, humble and kind person. A true craftsman.
Jonathan Brown
Violist Jonathan Brown, a chamber musician in the purest sense, embodies boundless curiosity, absolute precision of gesture and the ability to make every note feel newly born. Working with him as our teacher, we discovered and deepened Beethoven’s theatricality, his inner pulse and the elusive “point zero”. We have also had the privilege of sharing the stage with him in works by Schumann and Brahms. Just when we thought we had reached the limits of non-synchronicity and musical storytelling, Jonathan showed us that it was possible to go even further. He also shares Pau’s passion for photography, and his photographs are works of art in their own right.
Mal Pelo
The dance company founded by Pep Ramis and María Muñoz is an internationally acclaimed reference in movement, the poetry of the body and dance. Joel’s relationship with the company, spanning more than a decade—as both performer and musical director in several of its latest creations—gave rise to “La Nit”. In this production, music by Schoenberg, Magrané, Bonis and Bloch, projections, texts by Mal Pelo and their beloved John Berger, together with the magical dance of Pep and María, create a miniature meditation on the mystery of the night. We were fortunate to work at l’Animal a l’Esquena, and Mal Pelo’s profound sense of musicality continues to inspire us.
Inés Cuello
The hypnotic voice and natural strength of Argentine tango and South American folk music arrived in Barcelona in 2025. What began as a collaboration has become a regular artistic partnership, opening the door to a world full of new colours and emotions. We will always remember our first rehearsal, singing tangos by Gardel, when the power of her voice was so captivating that it was difficult to focus on anything else. We feel incredibly fortunate to have the finest voice in contemporary tango living in Catalonia.
Judit Neddermann
Judit was an artist we had long admired from afar, just as so many others do. By one of life’s happy coincidences, we met at an awards ceremony, and Marc refused to leave before introducing himself. Two days later, he was already writing his first arrangements of Catalan folk songs to send to her—despite never having written arrangements or composed music before. Her ability to turn vulnerability into strength, her boundless generosity and the immediate sense of familiarity she inspires have accompanied us ever since we met. She remains a constant source of inspiration for our musical imagination.
